The Polish Qualification Framework describes the relationship between qualifications by integrating national qualification subsystems. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of November 14, 2018, on the Polish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, graduates have to possess language skills from the field of science and scientific disciplines specific to the studied course and compliant with the requirements defined for the following level: 

  • B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for first-cycle studies
  • B2+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level for second-cycle studies
  • B2+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level for long-cycle Master's studies

B2 level: A person at this level understands the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They can interact with native speakers fluently and spontaneously without strain for either party. They can produce clear, detailed oral and written texts on a wide range of topics and explain their viewpoint on topical issues, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

B2+ level: A person at this level has an advanced ability to prepare various written assignments and oral presentations in a foreign language recognized as essential for the field of study and its academic disciplines or related interdisciplinary areas.
