Teacher’s Didactic Seminars

Initiated in the academic year 2022/23, Teacher’s Didactic Seminars are meetings that provide occasions for sharing experiences, working together on solutions for contemporary didactic problems, and developing the professional competencies of UG Foreign Language Center’s lecturers.  

Meetings are held regularly, once a month.

Topics discussed so far include:

• Challenges of contemporary didactics,
• Latest educational technologies and tools,
• Use of artificial intelligence in teaching materials’ preparation,
• Generation Z,
• Reports from didactic conferences
• Academic language.
   

We also hosted guests from outside the FLC:

- Wojciech Glac, PhD (Faculty of Biology UG)  with the presentation “How the “student’s brain” works”

- Katarzyna Rukojć, PhD (Uniwersytet Merito WSB University Gdańsk) “Students with Trauma Experience in the Classroom – Guidelines for Language Instructors”

The meetings are moderated by Oliwia Grzegorczyk, MA, Martyna Włodarczyk, MA and Irena Moszczyńska-Janicka, MA, who ensure engaging topics and a welcoming atmosphere.
